Maggie Won the Best Presentation Award at the 2023 SCAS Meeting in Charleston, SC.

LaBEQ’s undergraduate researcher, Maggie Marte, presented her work on rapid electrical measurement systems using Gifford-McMahon (GM) cryocoolers at the 2023 South Carolina Academy of Sciences meeting in Charleston, SC. Congrats to Maggie for giving her first-ever talk at scientific meeting! She also scored her first research award: the best presentation in the Engineering session! Congrats^2!!

Maggie started at LaBEQ as an REU student in summer of 2022. She then decided to continue her work with us throughout the academic year and to become a cryogenics expert. She will continue her work with us in summer of 2023 as a SQEIPer (our DOE-funded internship program, see here for more info).
